From devastating and situational losses to transitions, this course will help you process the emotions present in your life.
As one participant stated last session, “With the tools I’ve learned in this course, I’m able to feel the waves of sadness without isolating or numbing out. I now feel equipped to experience the feelings that come with my loss.”
What is the A Journey to Hope Program?
A Journey to Hope is a six week program created to provide you with the tools and community you need to process difficult feelings and navigate overwhelm. As someone who has experienced loss, you know all too well the sinking feeling of facing life without your loved one(s) or your job, community, whatever it is you’ve lost or are transitioning away from. There are a variety of emotions - sadness, dread, anger, regret, and guilt - that accompany the losses we face.
During our time together, you’ll gain the skills you need for:
navigating unmet longings
reducing trauma symptoms like night terrors, racing thoughts
coping with ongoing anxiety, fears
reducing headaches and other physical manifestations that come with grief
understanding triggers (example - we can never help being triggered because it’s a physiological response but we can change how we cope with it)
learning how to connect rather than dread socializing or isolation
being present for your life and the good that’s still there
This program gives you the experience of community as you face into loss with like-minded individuals as well as learn the skills you need to navigate your fears and challenges and gain coping strategies for every day life. The program will provide solutions to help make the grieving process more manageable. Each session will involve reducing anxiety, racing thoughts or fears, understanding the neuroscience of grief, developing coping strategies, and identifying your needs for coping with this season of your life.
Recordings will be available for those who are unable to attend live.
Important to note: this program is not a grief process therapy group or peer support group. This means there won’t be extended time of sharing your story of loss. The focus is on learning about grief/loss and its impact on your emotions, thoughts, body, relationships and spirituality in a safe environment.
By the end of the course, you'll have a comprehensive roadmap that will help you navigate the unpredictable ways of grief. You'll feel empowered to handle the feelings and triggers that come with this journey, and you'll have a newfound sense of peace and hope.
