Come full of stress, leave emptied and filled with more capacity.
Aug 29–Sept 1, 2025
Petty Creek Mountain Ranch | Alberton Montana
This retreat isn’t a break from your life—it’s a breakthrough into it
A Space for You to Pour Back Into Yourself
Whether you’re someone who holds space for others or is simply longing for space yourself, this is your invitation to rest, reflect, and reconnect.
You’ll step into a calm, nourishing environment designed to help you regulate your nervous system, release what you’ve been carrying, and return with more capacity, clarity, and confidence.
Grounded in neuroscience, self-compassion, and real-life integration—this retreat is a chance to be instead of do.
“Enter the room of self knowledge first, instead of floating off to the other places. This is the path. Traveling along a safe and level road, who needs wings to fly? Let’s make the best possible use of our feet first and learn to know ourselves.”
— St. Teresa of Avila, The Interior Castle
Retreat Focus
In the noise of everyday life, we often forget how to truly listen—to ourselves, our bodies, our creativity, and the quiet wisdom within. The Fierce Gentle Retreat offers space to reconnect with what matters most.
Over the course of our time together, you'll be guided through seven transformative practices designed to support embodied healing, creative expression, and nervous system regulation:
Somatic practices to help release tension and return to your body’s natural intelligence
Generative writing to uncover personal stories and inner truths
Imagination work to move beyond limitations and spark vision
Silence as a sacred space for deep listening and integration
Creative visioning to make the invisible visible through collage and artistic play
Group reflection for witnessed sharing and collective insight
Intentional free time to rest, integrate, or enjoy an optional massage
This isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about remembering who you are.
Come discover what’s possible when fierce determination meets gentle acceptance.
You Belong Here If…
You're someone who often finds yourself giving more than you receive—whether in your work as a helping professional, creative, educator, parent, community organizer, or in countless other roles. You've been holding a lot—grief, stress, uncertainty, responsibility—and you're ready to lay some of it down.
The Four
Pillars of Transformation
Our retreat is built on four powerful pillars that balance fierce courage with gentle acceptance—creating the perfect alchemy for lasting change.
1. Play: The Gateway to Possibility
We begin with Play because it bypasses our defenses and opens doors our analytical minds keep firmly shut. Through vision boarding, line dancing, experiential exercises, and the exchange of love notes, you'll rediscover joy as your natural state. Play isn't frivolous—it's revolutionary. It's where we learn most effortlessly, where creativity flows, and where we remember who we are beneath our carefully constructed identities. Come burdened with seriousness; leave with lightness of being.
2. Imagination: The Architect of New Realities
In the realm of Imagination, we'll gently examine the filters through which you view your world. Are you seeing through lenses of safety or threat? Self-compassion or harsh criticism? Love or fear? Through guided visualization and belief-work, you'll strengthen your capacity to imagine new possibilities even when circumstances seem immovable. This fierce practice helps you recognize when limiting beliefs masquerade as truth and gives you tools to author a different story. Come doubting your power; leave knowing your capacity to create change.
3. Creating a More Complicated Story: Beyond the Inner Critic
The Complicated Story pillar invites you to expand narratives that have become too simple, too rigid, too unkind. Using practices inspired by Byron Katie's Work and self-compassion techniques, you'll learn to hold multiple truths simultaneously—embracing complexity as the antidote to black-and-white thinking. This fierce practice challenges the inner critic's authority and makes room for nuance, forgiveness, and the release of regret. Come trapped in judgment; leave embracing the fullness of your humanity.
4. Silence & Embodiment: The Ground of Being
Our fourth pillar combines Silence & Embodiment to reconnect you with the wisdom that lives beyond words. Through meditation, somatic practices, prayer, and poetry, you'll drop from busy mind into the intelligence of your whole being. Periods of silence throughout our days create space for integration and deeper listening. These gentle practices anchor transformation in lived experience rather than concept. Come disconnected from yourself; leave rooted in presence.

“Kimber, the biggest message is that I need to care for my nervous system just like I do with my body.
I need sleep, water, food, and exercise. With my nervous system, I need boredom, people, and exercises for my neurological system.”

“My biggest takeaway is how this experience helps me become more aware of my system in the moment—it gets me thinking in new ways.”
